One of the greatest fairs of northern India, Jhande ka Mela is praised on the fifth day after the celebration of Holi known as Chaitra Krishna Paksh ki Panchmi in recognition of the birth commemoration of Master Slam Rai, who is said to have dedicated what we today know as the city of Dehradun. This module gives a short look into the set of experiences and present practices related with the celebration.

 

Uttarakhand is referred to as Dev Bhoomi as numerous otherworldly and strict spots are here. It is additionally broadly well known for the various fairs it has and Jhanda fair is one of such fairs.

Jhanda Fair is commended consistently on fifth day after Holi for 15 days to pay tribute to Shri Master Smash Rai Ji's appearance in Dehradun. In year 1699, Master Smash Rai Ji was removed structure Punjab by his dad Master Har Rai ji for the marvels performed by him in the court of Mughal Ruler Aurangzeb and afterward Master Slam Rai Ji came to Dehradun

Huge quantities of enthusiasts (Sangat) comes from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and various pieces of the country. Jhanda Fair advances common amicability as individuals from various religion and positions join to have the Jhanda Ji (Youtube Video).
